Hampton Inn Bellingham Airport {US-WA} (no longer Hilton Honors)
So, I booked a room here for August 2017 back in May, checked my Honors app today and the reservation wasn't there. Checked my confirmation email to make sure, yep it is there, so I checked the regular honors website - still no reservation.
I called the reservation desk and the lady said there "was an error" with my reservation. Well after some back and forth it turns out the property was sold and is no longer a Hampton Inn.
Would have been nice if Hilton had let me know! This isn't the best way to run a company. Would have really sucked if I showed up 3,200 miles from home at 10 PM to find out the hotel isn't there anymore.
Luckily I was able to reserve at another Hilton property in town, but as a gold (or higher) member for 15 years I don't expect this lack of customer service from a major hotel chain. Yes I submitted a complaint, but don't expect to hear anything back from them. A free stay or diamond bump would be nice!
Anybody else ever seen anything like this?
