Some seats really are blocked (bassinet seats for example) and even OWEs and Golds can only get them by phoning, and in some cases only then at T-72.

I think it is probably too much to expect EF to pick up the reason for the blocking, so it is always hard to know why.

I had it yesterday when I wanted 15K on an A380 but it was blocked. They gave me 13K and said it was all that was available, and yet 45 minutes later EF showed 15K available. I went and asked and was told it was probably broken, then I was told it was being held for a Gold member who hadn't checked in yet. And then they gave it to me!
