The Star Alliance Upgrade Award program isn't Aeroplan-based.
The only answer I'm seeking is whether Turkish issue their SAUA out of J space, I space or other.
I spoke with Aeroplan directly, they were very clear that they don't know this answer, and only Turkish can provide it. As well, this type of upgrade is exclusively possible on a ticket purchased directly from Turkish Airlines.
Turkish's online-help staff tell me to talk to their call centre, their call centre tell me I can only find this answer in person at a Turkish Airlines ticket office, which doesn't exist in my city.
