US doeswhat it can for CP's
I would like to relate 2 things that happened for me in the last 2 weeks.
Last week flying PHL to Cleveland PHL (most of the east coast) was having weather problems. First I was rebooked ontl the late non-stop 10:20 but that was now showing as 12:00. THey then rebooked me through Pitt in F with a connection. We boarded the aircraft and the jetway was retracted, and a ground hold of 1 hour or more was put in place in PHL. We had not yet pushed back but if we were delayed for anywhere near that long I would be staying in PIT that night. I mentioned this to the FA and noted that there was still a chance to get to CLE later that night from PHL. He spoke with the pilot who came back and asked if the jetway was brought back did I want to get off this flight and did I have checked bags. When I responded that I had only carry on and that I would get off if possible, he had the jetway brought back and let me off the aircraft. I was then booked back on the 10:20 which was now showing 1:15 departure by the gate agent. To end this long example at 10:00 the USAIR Club rebooked me on to the 8 am flight since we did not think this one was going to leave (it did not) and I slept at home.
The second thing that occured was that I booked 2 tickets to Rome from PHL and then upgraded them with miles (120k), while on the phone I mentioned that I liked the bulkhead (Envoy class has 2 bulkhead rows on the 330) and would like to be seated there. THe agent stated that the least them could do for a CP was upgrade me to F on the 330.
I know alot of you may think 60k miles is too large a number but it is not to me. Also, I have been a CP since they started CP's (actually I was always asking for a higher level before CP started) so I may get some extra treatment.
I thinks someone stated the CP rocks I agree.
