A quick snack

From looking over our shoulders, it appeared that most other passengers in business class and in economy were being served a proper lunch sandwich: roast beef and cheese on a baguette. I guess they only thought we needed a starter? Either way, the food was fine, plenty for a light snack but far from a solid lunch portion.
I can confirm the sandwiches are for economy class passengers, business class gets the meal tray with cold refreshments. Did a flight with CityJet a couple weeks ago and the catering ex Paris was superb... slices of rare roast beef with mayo, quinoa salad with vegetables. Rest of the meal tray had french butter and cheeses and a tart. Finished with chocolates. Full bar service including champagne and spirits. Two rounds of bread were offered plus tea and coffee.

Seems on your flight they may not have reconfigured the curtain and simply sat economy pax in those seats, hence the sandwich offering.

In case anyone else has upcoming flights, the row to go for is row 2 right side (D&F or whatever). More than enough legroom. Row 1 is two seats, filled by a single passenger, but zero legroom, and no cut out at floor level for your feet. Avoid.

Row three onwards were still 'ok' as per the pictures in the report above.
