One thing about the immigration queue from the 200 gates (for EU passports) is that it often looks worse than it is. Even if there's lots of people, I doubt anyone waits longer than 10 minutes. The immigration officers can be a bit hidden (as the desks have a front and a back) so be vigilant and skip past those just following the crowd.
Also coming from the 200 gates means you can sometimes skip ahead of people arriving from the 100 gates due to the layout.
As a last resort, staff tend to be on hand who may bring you forward. Most passengers here are coming off Ryanair so connections aren't a big thing. The staff member won't reply 'well there's loads of people trying to connect' - a response you might get at a hub airport.
