It seems that AA has canceled the daytime SEA-MIA flight, at least for my travel date in November. I received an email stating that I had been automatically re-accommodated on the red-eye.

I used AA's automated system to request a full refund. The status for my ticket said "eligible for review" and I expected a lengthy process until I was actually issued the refund.

However a refund status check just now -- less than 24 hours later -- shows "refund issued to Visa ending in xxx".

Nice.

I'm comparing that against Royal Jordanian, which after a week still hasn't issued the refund they told me they would (unrelated trip).
