I have read the threads about First, but they all seem to be a few years old. Are they still applicable? Or has the product in the air changed enough to make those old threads stale?
Also, I have a loooong layover in LHR the Sunday I arrive (from 6h50 until 16h15) so I was thinking I have two options:
(A) Leave the airport with my hand baggage and take the HEX to spend a few hours in London, or
(B) Explore what LHR can offer. I could go landside and then re-enter using the first wing, go to the lounges in T3, use all the available lounges in T5, eat in the Concorde Room...
Any and all tips, do's, do not's, and "you're stupid's" will be appreciated!
That is a really long layover, but I would not leave LHR. Will be at least an hour to get thru immigration/customs and then you are First- so the Arrivals lounge!
Take a shower, eat breakfast, then the spa. have a nap. Then lunch, then back onto the plane after having a nose around and a shop
