The BRG program has been a joke for the past year or so anyway so I really can't understand the need for the change. It was already worse than many of the other major players. I would be more understanding of this change if they went back to the old system of reviewing and approving claims, but this coupled with the current approval standards is just offensive.
The Hyatt BRG program has been a pain in the neck for many. Even when doing everything right to get the BRG claim processed, it has way too often took way too long for it to get done. It's a way where Hyatt's history has generally been one of failing to meet customer expectations and being worse than the competition. Now, Hyatt's generally in the game to be no better than the competition, and that does indeed cover the range from loyalty program to BRG and elsewhere.
