Does anyone have any idea when the Admirals Club membership is effective after you apply for the Citi Executive Card? Is it when you're approved, when you receive your card, when you pay the annual fee, or something else? I've been using the Citi Prestige for AC access and that benefit just went away, and I have a domestic trip in two days. I assume if I applied and was approved today, I wouldn't have the card in hand by then, but maybe if I just gave my AAdvantage card it would have my AC membership already linked?

Alternatively, could I apply for the Executive card at the lounge and get same day access?
