Sharing update of renewal offer received July 2017:

750 AED

Represents 50% discount on standard renewal fee of 1,500 AED; tother with 1 night stay at Cat 5 hotel.

Proactively contacted the membership team, as I did not perceive value of full fee renewal. This was upon reaching end of first year.

Standard other benefits retained.

Alternative option (under my consideration) being the fee-free Infinite ENBD Visa, converting the points into AED (which is what I did to fund the initial fee for SPG card a year ago).
