If we choose it, we will have a 1:41 DL to AF connection in January which I will not be comfortable with were we to exit security and re-checkin.
it doesn't make any difference in the process to connect DL to DL or DL to AF. I have done such connections tons of time and it usually takes me 10-15 min max gate-to-gate.
