I am actually off to SYD tomorrow eve. for a 4-nights-at-Star-City weekend that came to $741.24 (w. tax). This was with last weeks' E-Fares.

I called the 1K desk and was told no way an upgrade, even with certs.
She said buy-up to upgradable fare would run > $5K!
