I visited Venice in college traveling with a singing group, and somehow we managed to stay on the Grand Canal as well -- in an actual palace, with actual royalty. One of them tried mightily to seduce any of us that he could get, though I don't think he succeeded. That might explain why we weren't invited back the following summer!
