if BA give me a cheap fare and they have their nice hot meals on board , I wouldn’t mind paying 5-10 euros more.

however if BA are expensive and I expect that I won’t be fed on board even if I want to spend money, I would avoid them.
Pegasus Airlines - the Turkish LCC has very low fares and really good hot meals that you can order in advance for cheap or order on board for a few Euros more. That would be a start vs. M&S sandwiches. In my view I'm less likely to fly BA these days because the differences vs. the LCCs aren't worth premium pricing that BA tries to charge. $800 R/T from TLV-LHR vs. Easyjet $300 TLV-LTN? I can buy a lot of champagne and caviar for that price difference on the same route. Not to mention the fact that redeeming avios for award travel is nearly impossible, further devaluing any reason to stay loyal. There is a certain price premium BA could charge over the LCCs but only if they are actually providing "full service".
