SEA to MCI Friday afternoon. Announced open seating and that if a seat had just a back pack, purse, or magazine on it to go ahead and sit if that is the seat you want. Hurrah!!!

IMO - if this seat saving thing continues, my vote is to allow those with higher numbers to bring up whoever they want to their position and get on with it.
