It's pleasant enough compared to normal Radisson standards. It's about 30 years old, but probably the rooms have been renovated since. It's in the dead centre of town by the "Nidelven" river. The nice and classic "Brygge"-buildings are upstreet in Kjøpmannsgata (I used to work in one), as are the relatively spectacular old city bridge ("Gamle Bybro"). Crossing it takes you to the nice and trendy old town with some classy and upscale bars and restaurants. A block away from that is the nearly 1000-year old gothic cathedral (the "Nidarosdomen"). Further downtown is the "Ravnkloa" area, where the local fishmarket is positioned. Furthermore there is the old castle (upwards from the mentioned old town) and out in the bay the "Munkholmen" (an old monastery-like island ruin) can be found. There are a few interesting museums in and around town too. For further dining and entertainment you can visit "Nedre Elvehavn". That pretty much sums it up. Trondheim is a very charming and compact classic Norwegian town. I used to live there for a few years around 2000 and I really liked it and miss living there a lot.
