Already have backup plan with Southwest departing later on the same day, cancel once I get there as they will allow cancellation up to 10 min before departure.

Another prudent measure which I recommend is monitoring weather 1 week before departure practically everyday, should there be any major storms, call airlines ASAP and check for possibility of moving up the departure dates (middle of the week) with possibility of waiver.

I have done really risky (didn't think of it in the past) connections with 2 tickets via BOS during the winter of 2014-2015 when DL cancelled flights every other day, got lucky on getting there with only 1 hour delay, which was the only sunny day for that entire 2 weeks in Feb. Even during perfect weather day there could still be lengthy delays due to heavy snow and traffic from prior delayed/cancelled flights. In the past DL was the primary carrier/reservation and I had B6 as backup.
