I had an interaction with a SPOTnik manning the PreCheck TDC station at SJC one morning:
pa3lsvt: "Good morning."
TSO: "ID, please. Scan that here." (points to scanner)
pa3lsvt: (hands over NEXUS card and scans mobile BP)
TSO: (looks up from scanner display) "Where are you going?"
pa3lsvt: "Home."
TSO: "Where is that?"
pa3lsvt: "None of your business." [Note: My flight was SJC-PHX, where I would be connecting on to PHL.]
TSO: "Where are you flying to from here?"
pa3lsvt: "Doesn't it tell you on your little display there?"
TSO: "Why won't you answer my questions?"
pa3lsvt: "Is my ID acceptable? Can I proceed to screening?"
TSO: (stares at pa3lsvt for ~5 seconds, then hands back NEXUS card) "Fine. You don't have to have an attitude."
