As an FYI, Tahiti is generally not a good value for the miles if you're in the US. The award levels are the total of a US-AUS/NZ plus AUS/NZ-Tahiti, despite the fact that you can take NZ LAX-PPT. 80000 miles in Y or 120000 in C.
