Premium Internet is a Platinum benefit and not a choice. (It is a choice for Gold, which may be where the text came from.)

If I'm reading it correctly, Platinum members get free premium Internet, regardless of how the room is booked. But for Gold, members, it's only if the room is booked with booked with SPG online.
So, although it's a choice for Gold members, there's no reason to make that choice if the room was booked with with SPG online.
