Count me as another voice for the DT Centraal. Besides the other comments, it has a spectacular rooftop bar with some of the best views in Amsterdam. Breakfast for Diamonds was excellent. The lounge is much quieter and the evening drinks/apps were superb.

My stay was a 9 night stay last November for a conference and it is one of two or three of the best DT's I've been to.
