8 year old information is not the best source, as there have been many changes in the airline industry in the past 8 years, among the ones the previous poster mentioned.

Additionally, IDB is a very rare event -- the US domestic rate is about 1 per 20,000 passengers (>150+ full flights) and UA has historically been better than the average. And that was before recent changes to further reduce IDB.
