Except... I am already running the most recent version, and there is nothing more recent version of the app in the appstore.
Running version 4.10 (19th July 2017) on a Samsung Galaxy S8.
Fine for me on my S8+.
Only issue I have, that might not be an issue, is when I click on the "upgrade" box, it takes me to the passenger info, contact details, seat selection etc. page that has nothing to do with upgrading.
Added: Ignore the first bit as I've got that now. Press upgrade, it goes to the store, updates for a second and back to the expired page when you try to open the app. I uninstalled and reinstalled, logged in again and all seems fine for now. It did pop up "log out and back in again if any app problems" after reinstalling.
Another thing. Once online check in has closed, should I still be offered a cash upgrade that I cannot take? Not sure if online and desk check in are slightly different or if it's a bug in the app.
