(ii) I don't like the character with the beard - almost all his lines are redundant
(iii) Many of the celebrities' lines and actions are redundant, e.g. the tray table back-and-forth - I have to watch the video and seeing a celebrity faff around when I could be reading my book, listening to music or looking out of the window is not a welcome use of my time
(iv) I resent being asked to donate to charity in a mandatory video, especially when it takes up so much time
(v) I consider celebrity culture vacuous and find it hard to see many of the individuals shown as British icons - it is not that I do not recognise their significant achievements in life, just that I see a celebration of celebrity culture as an awful way to showcase Britain or truly iconic brands like British Airways
(vi) Compared to other safety videos this one is not at all memorable or interesting to watch for me.
On the safety side:
(i) It may be irresponsible to show Rowan Atkinson climbing on the seat and dashing around the cabin looking for his change at a time when the seat belt sign will be on
(ii) The statement about seating facing towards the back of the aircraft when in Club World could be confusing to many passengers who are not as familiar with the product as you or I without an appropriate image, especially for children, infrequent travellers and non-English speakers
(iii) It may be unwise to show the passenger actually inflating the lifejacket - this could increase the likelihood that some passengers might inflate inside the cabin in the event of an emergency
(iv) It takes me a long time to work out who some of the celebrities are and this may cause some of the safety messages be unheard - this could be magnified for people who are not resident in the UK and really struggle to work out who is telling them the messages or why they should listen
(v) The concept of an audition may suggest an incomplete, optional or unfinished environment that is subject to change or interpretation, which is certainly not the case when it comes to aviation safety
(vi) The celebrities shown have significant achievements behind them and are all worthy in their own right, but I do not see why people would see a chef, an actor or a comedian as authority figures with something serious to say about safety, which could detract from the overall impact of the video - indeed, people who actively dislike some of the celebrities shown may just ignore the video.
Overall - an epic fail.
Two comments: One - this isn't the one they are going to show onboard - it's very hard for us (who haven't seen the final one) to know what is going to be shown out of the 'additional' lines from the director etc. Which I think means most of your i), ii), iii) and then i), iii) and v) as a bit redundant too.
Two - the charity video is already mandatory - and it's much longer today, especially when combined with the announcement that accompanies it. Assuming the one shown prior to landing and said announcement are replaced by this section - I'm all for it.
