As stated in the Wikipost and throughout http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...solidated.html, it's the time and date of activity that counts for preventing miles expiry. Just make sure to keep the boarding pass (or screen shot) in case the miles don't post. Of my last AS trip, outbound posted, return didn't.
