Typically at an HGI breakfast I leave two bucks if the server greets me and brings me coffee, nothing if I have no interaction with a server. Sometimes they are around, but don't come near me and I take care of myself. I don't tip the Hampton Inn buffet-minders who don't interact with me, either.
