We are flying Delta (KML) from JFK to Schiphol then Air Lingus(KML) to Cork,Ireland and I am trying to understand the timing.

We arrive at AMS at 6:00am then departing at 9:20am for Cork. I am confidant that 3 1/2 hours is plenty of time to navigate the airport, security and passport control however we were hoping to stop off at the Yotel for a nap and shower but after reading more about schengan vs non-schengan, security lines and more I am confused.

Any thoughts as to a realistic timeline and whether we really have the time for the nap and showers. One note is that we are not checking any luggage.
