I doubt you could park in the Marriott Courtyard lot (which is just across Railroad St.) without a permit - but maybe so. I just don't see where valet or self parking is any more secure than parking on Railroad Ave. as they are all just a few feet apart.
There's certainly a risk of break-ins in the Hyatt lot, too, but I would feel much better parking there than either on Olive Street near the creek or the part of the Courtyard lot that borders on the creek. There is no equivalently isolated area in the Hyatt lot.

The problem here is the confluence of Olive Park right up the street and the creek, both of which draw a permanent homeless crowd. Last time I ran the creek back in June, I went past two guys dismantling a stolen bike under the overpass closest to the Courtyard.

Quite a few of the reviews on TA disagree with you . . . lots of complaints about construction noise and disruption. I don't have personal experience since the construction started b/c I will never stay at this property again.
