Sorry to piggyback on this but I currently have no status but I do have a companion ticket and 30,000 miles available. On the flights I'm looking at if I apply the discount code for the companion ticket, and then select the mileage button on the left, it does show a F Class upgrade (for a higher price than the listed coach) and has a blue F box by it. I assumed this meant that I could upgrade the 2 if I pay the extra money and cash in my 30,000 miles but when I went through the check out process it never gave me an opportunity to cash in the miles or choose a F Class seat. So now I'm confused....if the upgrade is not an option then why does it show a blue F box and and allow me to select the upgrade box with the higher price?
