it never ceases to amaze me how these days every time there is even the slightest of issue someone runs to twitter and talks about how horrible UA (or AA or DL) is. As if 1) the airline always intentionally does said grievance or 2) and that customer was in no way responsible for anything that happened (though I'm not saying that is the case here). Perhaps I give the airlines too much leeway, but again I understand the operational complexities that take place with running an airline and realize that its near impossible to not make mistakes.

The guy chose to send his dog as baggage, which is interesting considering the size of the dog. Just like a suitcase, occasionally there is a mixup. There is nothing to indicate that the dog was mistreated or left for endless hours on its own. So end of story...waiting for next gripe against United because there were "too many clouds in the sky."
