One stay, 3 separate reservations, what's the procedure?

I have a stay later this week at a HIX that is 3 separate reservations. 3 nights in one paid reservation. One reservation with the Chase IHG card free night, and one reservation on points. I don't recall which order the 3 reservations are in, I played around with the dates to get the lowest price for the paid reservation. But what is the procedure here? Can they combine all the reservations at check in? Will I have to check out and check back in? Just wondering how to make this as seamless as possible. I saw a post in another hotel forum, I think it was the Hilton forum, where someone had back to back reservations and they threw his stuff away because they thought he abandoned it after it was still in his room after the first reservation. Want to make sure that won't happen to me. Thanks!
