Interesting point about the GV#.
I am in month 4 of suspended service. I got an email about the 3 month suspension ending and logged back in and suspended it again. I did not get charged and then credited either. In 3 weeks I will reactivate for 2 months for travels.

Indeed there are no fees to stop the service, and you actually will get a credit back for unused service during that month up to about $20. But, stopping can only be done for a maximum of three months at a time, and there might be a restriction to doing that once within every 12 months. The t&c’s are not too clear on that point.
And if it is your google voice number that is being used it can’t be used anywhere else while on pause.
