They are often served with white savoury gravy for breakfast. It sounds and looks horrible - but once you get used to it - it is actually pretty addictive. (for me - anyway)
I try to absorb the culinary differences of the various places we visit, but sadly both the white [tasteless] gravy and the abomination called 'grits' have both failed to inspire me to repeat the experience
