I can't help but feel that many posts on this thread would have been very different if the FA had somehow damaged OP's IWC £8k watch, rather than a bag.

Whilst I can understand, and indeed appreciate, those expressing comical surprise at the fact handbags can cost that much (I certainly didn't realise) - the fact remains that OP had an expensive item damaged and was looking for advice on their rights. Not a critique on their shopping habits.
