So as per Hertz SA:

"Your prepaid amount does not include the contract fee, which is applicable to every rental agreement as there are costs associated with the mandatory 5 year storage period of all legal contracts.

The contract fee is never included in any rate or quote- it is a location charge."

This seems to be inline with - https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/reser...F3&EOAG=CPTT51

Needless to say, it is very well hidden, and the amount I was actually charged was not exactly R72,00
