I've been thinking of what would be different for a BE passenger, but I can't think of anything relative to checking a bag through on separate PNR.
I can't either, but this is a new animal and it's not a passenger friendly one. I can totally see an agent (particularly one of the contract agents at SFO domestic) saying, "sorry this is a Basic Economy fare."
I also like the flexibility of being able to SDC.
