I like the style of Shutters on the Beach, although if it's become filled with kids, that would be a big negative and detract from the casual and peaceful elegance.

There's a low key property with rooms decorated in an Asian style a bit off the beaten track in Beverley Hills. It was a Raffles property but I'm not sure about the current name. If it hasn't changed too much, this could be a potential alternative for the OP. I assume they have a nice presidential suite.
