That's unfortunately the only month we'd have open for a visit.
I've been in SE Asia before during the wet season -- it meant we got overnight (and the occasional midday) downpours.
How much of a Bad Idea is it considering Amanpulo in August?
Frankly I've done Amanpulo twice in July/Aug and many times in high season (Jan)... I was once very lucky and it almost never rained in July, but on a different visit it was almost raining all the time. Also cloudy skies.
The thing about Amanpulo is.. it is not a manicured resort. It is very authentic. Lots of sand. When it rains all the time, you are likely to feel quite dirty going through all the wet sand. It takes away from the experience. I love Pulo, but it is a gamble.
