We're planning 2018 travel, and I've read that August is a poor month to visit due to the risk of typhoons.

That's unfortunately the only month we'd have open for a visit.

I've been in SE Asia before during the wet season -- it meant we got overnight (and the occasional midday) downpours.

How much of a Bad Idea is it considering Amanpulo in August?
