I often use the BA lounge in JNB when flying CX or QF. Haven't been denied yet. Sorry to hear it seems to be widespread.

If it makes you feel better, I flew EY out of JNB a couple days ago and was relegated to the Shongololo lounge as EY of course isn't OW.
