Ok, at the risk of coming across confrontational, which I truly don't mean to do, but why is a PDB that important to PAXs?
I'm a pilot, so maybe I don't get it, but all we are talking about is a glass of cheap wine, a small pour of a soft drink or water in a small cup of ice, or maybe a small, watered down cocktail. I can totally understand the need and desire for a beverage service once the flight is underway, especially on a flight over an hour, but why such passionate discussion over a drink you often have to gulp down before the FAs come to collect them and secure the cabin for departure?
And for the record, most pilots don't get a PDB either. We usually buy water, soft drinks or coffee in the terminal.
