I think what happened is that I opened and closed the business AA card earlier this year and then my wife opened with the same business EIN. Citi is going by the EIN, so since I received the bonus with that EIN, they are not allowing my wife to get the bonus with that same EIN...even though it's legit..husband/wife business.
Have her reapply with just her SSN and change the spelling of the business by one letter. May not work but worth a try if she has a HP to burn. Maybe wait awhile though. Also, when you close a bus. card you also have to call/chat CITI and have them close the underling bus. acct. #, which is diff. than your card #.
