You are right.. I was able to book 2.. and then was able to go all the way through on the next 2, select, enter traveler info, enter credit card.. "─We’re sorry, but united.com was unable to complete your request"
Yes.. so I guess I'm out of luck.. Especially since the website shows 4.. I assume I can't even setup expertflyer alerts..
No way to tell when seats really do become available.. except to call every day??
And I seriously doubt they are going to open a bunch more.. What will happen.. someone will book 1 or 2 of the current ones, then they will open 2 more.. I"ll never be able to get 4

I think you misunderstood.. I've been looking at 330ish days out for months.. and seeing lots of availability on those dates.. not the dates I wanted.. because they hadn't released yet.
I've tried my itinerary about 10 times over past month.. but not for the dates I wanted.. but for the latest weeks released.. and it always showed available.
Yes.. if I see something I grab it..
