We have a hotel attached to our local performing arts center. The hotel is very careful to make sure to leave enough spaces in their deck for hotel guests, and it is not uncommon to see the sign saying "lot full/hotel guests only." A good hotel will make sure that their lot/valet will always have enough spaces for people actually staying there - without extra hassle for the guests.
