Chatting to a long time friend and long time airline employee (ground staff) yesterday, the subject of a ban on alcohol on certain routes came up – apparently the Balearics are pushing the EU to implement on flights into their islands.

Blocking sale of alcohol at the airport should be easy enough through checking the boarding card but how will it impact self-pour lounges such as BA’s?. My friend reckons that people on those routes will simply be blocked from lounge access or is this an opportunity for Cruz to ‘enhance’ free self pour away?
