But I hope that you agree that a line has to be drawn somewhere. It wouldn't sit well with me if everyone had to pay higher fares so that BA was fully able to compensate those who tote around stuff that is stupidly expensive and easily damageable. In a legal sense BA may have some liability but morally of course they are not at fault. Accidental damage is just that an accident and I do think it is entirely fare that a company seeks to limit its liability for genuine accidents
