I don't think CX implemented PE particularly well. It was installed on every long haul aircraft but many of their connection passengers come from markets where it's either non existent or a new concept. Consequently on a lot of routes PE is largely used as an overflow from economy and an upgrade buffer to business.

If their fleet wasn't so widely utilised I'm sure they would remove it on all but the European routes.
