Happened to me 2 weeks ago. Booked a hotel in Glasgow Marriott in Scotland a month before I checked in as a prepaid rate. CC was never charged until the checkout date. It wasn't a big deal because I paid 170 pounds for 2 nights. It only sucked because I booked the prepaid rate when it was $1.27 per pound and once I checked out, it was $1.31 per pound.
