To each their own. I would much rather have a "hard-to-park planet killer" than an econobox where I don't have legroom or hit my head on the headliner. I'm only 6'2", but I'm convinced some of these smaller cars were designed around a 5'10" test dummy.
Even when parallel parking, I rarely encounter a parking space that I can't fit a bigger car into. Just takes a little extra care.
TL;DR: Please rent the smaller cars and leave me the land yachts.
